MFW SS 17 editor’s diary

From Lauren Hutton's runway cameo to a Wes Anderson-designed cocktail bar, fashion and beauty director Billie Iveson gives us a tour of Milan for Fashion Week SS 17.

The shows …
Dolce & Gabbana: Tropico Italiano. A runway turned fiesta as the Dolce & Gabbana girls ended the show with a finale like no other.

Marni: A new silhouette emerged for SS 17. The Marni girls saw extended, oversized and draped tailoring. Room to move.

Giorgio Armani: Fluid movement and embracing the female form. A moonlit runway for summer.

Prada: Fashion through time. Prints, overlaying and feathery touches for the Prada SS 17 woman.

 The beauty …
The sheer foundation and lipstick at Giorgio Armani SS 17, sleek and straight hair at Versace and the new take on disco makeup at Fendi.

The sets …
A 70’s nightclub turned to a dark and sultry runway for Gucci SS 17.

The girls …
A guest appearance by Lauren Hutton for Bottega Veneta’s 50th Anniversary show, and Edie Campbell working a neon jumpsuit for Versace.

Between shows …
The Wes Anderson-designed Bar Luce inside the Fondazione Prada for post-show aperitifs.
