PFW SS 17 editor’s diary

Midnight in Paris. From Ellery’s pink runway to the perfect spa stop between shows, RUSSH fashion and beauty director Billie Iveson gives a guided tour of the best of the French capital at PFW.

 The shows …
Loewe: Such a standout. Linen, leather and oversized silhouettes. And the bags! Jonathan Anderson continues to delight.

Louis Vuitton: The girl is a woman. 80s touches, embellished drop waist dresses and power suit pants.

Chanel: Data centre Chanel. Lagerfeld examined the all-encompassing technology in our lives. Chanel bots opened the runway.

The eats …
Wild & the Moon has become a firm Paris favourite. Juices whenever possible. Ritz Bar inside the newly refurbished hotel is perfect for a late night cocktail and Loulou fits the bill for a long lunch in the Jardin des Tuileries, complete with a view of the Eiffel Tower.

The accessories …
The astrology clutches at Christian Dior – where Maria Grazia Chiuri’s debut show for the brand had her looking to tarot for inspiration – and the small bags with long chains at Hermes.

Between shows …
The Peninsula Hotel spa is the perfect fashion week break. Try and allow some time to relax in the steam room. David Mallett’s original salon is light-filled with beautiful interior design. Enjoy one of the luxurious hair masks and massages. Atelier Brancusi, opposite Centre Pompidou, is also worth the visit for a first-hand glimpse of Constantin Brancusi’s famed sculpture work.

The sets …
Ellery: a pink-hued room – all the better to offset the tough leathers and punk accents.

Off-White: sponge seating in a historic French building to show off the deconstructed shirting.
