PFW editor’s diary

From Chanel’s space adventure to Stella McCartney’s George Michael tribute - plus the best accessories, soundtracks and moments between shows. These are the Paris Fashion Week memories we’re bringing on home.

The shows …
Chanel: Karl Lagerfeld’s rocket countdown and space-inspired collection.
Louis Vuitton: It doesn’t get much more impressive than a show at the Louvre. And the collection held its own.
Ellery: The fringing, jewellery and pants. A perfect storm.
Givenchy: An homage to Riccardo Tisci’s time at the house with a 27-look collection, each from a different season and all redone in Givenchy red.

The moments …
Miu Miu: De La Soul paired with an all-purple faux fur set for Miuccia’s AW 17 collection.
Christian Dior: Dark blue lighting, smoke and Nina Simone at the Musée Rodin. The moody blues.
Stella McCartney: A finale with models singing and dancing to George Michael.

The accessories …
Loewe bags embroidered with You can’t take it with you, plus bags and hats brandishing sliced bread motifs; Christian Dior’s jewelled bag straps and the necklaces at Valentino.

Between shows …
La Société, where we settled in one night for a long meal on the Left Bank.
Melanie Grant in Paris – our favourite facialist set up camp at Le Burgundy Paris for the perfect pick me up.
Converse held an intimate event at their headquarters – with Chucks customising, paired cocktails and live cooking by Pierre Touitou.
Juice It fresh juices kept my immunity high despite constant rain and running around.
