It was 1999 when Toni Maticevski launched his eponymous fashion label, cementing himself in the ensuing decades as one of Australia’s most influential and celebrated designers. From August 13, Maticevski is dipping into his archives for Dark Wonderland – an exhibition showcasing his extensive collection of architectural womenswear at Bendigo Art Gallery, Victoria. The exhibition will track the designer’s inspirations, practices and key pieces, from the early days to the here and now.
