THE ROW dress; CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN shoes; PAN & THE DREAM socks; BUNDA necklace.

Put a spell on you. Fresh-faced, steely-eyed and an Alexander Wang favourite, her destiny was realised when the designer cut her long tresses into that now-signature crop at New York Fashion Week. You’ve seen this face before: now get to know model Charlee Fraser.

STELLA MCCARTNEY dress; stylist’s own stockings (worn as top); GIVENCHY BY RICCARDO TISCI shoes; PAN & THE DREAM socks; BUNDA ring.
CHANEL jacket, top and pants; BUNDA earrings.

“The first thing you should know about me [is] I’m a hugger.”

CÉLINE shirt; stylist’s own stockings (worn as top); PROENZA SCHOULER earrings.

A believer in magic and “hopeless romantic” – that down-to-earth attitude belies a connection to the land that comes naturally. Since making the move from Australia’s Newcastle to New York she’s become a pioneer for Indigenous Australian models on the international stage – walking for Givenchy and Hermès, fronting campaigns for Stella McCartney and Céline, and directing her gaze into Juergen Teller’s lens. They know as well as we do that once you enter her orbit, there’s no looking away. There is magic all around you, if I do say so myself, I have known this much longer than I’ve known you.
